NSS

National Service Scheme was introduced in 1969 with the primary objective of developing the personality and character of the student youth through voluntary community service. Education through service is the purpose of the NSS. The ideological orientation of the NSS is inspired by the ideals of Mahatma Gandhi. Very appropriately the motto of NSS is ‘Not me but You.’

An NSS volunteer places the community before self. We at Sharada College believe that the students should engage in community service through NSS and we conduct camps and awareness programmes and such different activities regularly.

YRC

The motto of the Youth Red Cross is ‘to serve’. The Youth Red Cross is the most important wing of the Indian Red Cross Society. The objective of the Youth Red Cross is to inculcate in the youth of our country an awareness of their own health and that of others, the understanding and acceptances of civic responsibilities, and the need to act with utmost humanitarian concerns in crucial circumstances. Conducting blood donation camps and disease awareness programmes is what we largely do under the YRC unit at Sharada College.

IIC

The Ministry of Education through the MoE’s Innovation Cell launched the Institution’s Innovation Council Programme in collaboration with AICTE for HEIs to systematically foster the culture of innovation and start-up ecosystem in educational institutions. Primarily IICs role is to engage large number of faculty, students and staff in various innovation and entrepreneurship related activities such as ideation, problem-solving, design thinking, IPR, project handling, and management at pre-incubation and incubation stages, etc. Sharada College students actively participate in this novel set-up.
